For many Red Dirt music oriented college students in Oklahoma and Texas, their first introduction to Reckless Kelly was when scene giants Cross Canadian Ragweed covered Crazy Eddie's Last Hurrah on their 2002 Live and Loud from Billy Bob's Texas album. As Reckless Kelly went on to dominate the Red Dirt/Texas Country for more than the next two decades, yet another new crop of waterbed rockers have emerged from the dirt in Oklahoma and Texas.
